Preston’s new boss Ryan Lowe took training for the first time on Wednesday – and there were a some young players involved in the session.
North End swooped on Tuesday to make Lowe their new manager less than 24 hours after the sacking of Frankie McAvoy.
Lowe has left his post as Plymouth Argyle boss to take over at Deepdale, completing a rapid move to Lancashire.
In the driving wind and rain over at Euxton, Lowe was out on the training pitch with his Preston players for the first time.
North End have released a video showing Lowe’s first full day in the Preston job, with plenty of smiles on faces.
Lowe and new first-team coach Mike Marsh showed great energy throughout, and we saw young players involved too.
Joe Rodwell-Grant, Adam O’Reilly and Jack Baxter were all seen in first-team training under Lowe.

Rodwell-Grant is currently out on loan at Bamber Bridge whilst O’Reilly is gaining experience at Stalybridge Celtic.
Baxter has spent time with Radcliffe this season as all three youngsters have dropped into non-league.
Lowe was able to see all three in action, and the three talents will be hoping to have made a strong impression on Lowe as they target first-team football at Preston.
