FIFA 22 Ultimate Team current has a ‘Rulebreakers’ promo out now – and Preston North End star Tom Barkhuizen has been part of the updates.
That won’t mean a great deal for Preston fans who don’t play FIFA, but for those who do, it’s a big deal.
Rulebreakers sees players rebalanced from their original stats, usually decreasing key attributes in exchange for big improvements elsewhere.
Friday’s initial release saw the likes of Erling Haaland, Trent Alexander-Arnold, David Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Ousmane Dembele headline the Rulebreakers promo.
Three new Rulebreakers cards have been added today; Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakara and, remarkably, Preston’s Barkhuizen.
The winger started FIFA 22 with a 71 rating. Barkhuizen’s new Rulebreakers card sees him improved to an 82 overall, making him one of the best players in the Championship.
Barkhuizen’s pace has been decreased heavily, from 94 to 87 – but with huge increases elsewhere.
Barkhuizen’s Rulebreakers card sees his shooting go from 66 to 78, his passing from 60 to 71, his dribbling from 70 to 88, his defending from 40 to 51 and his physicality from 68 to 80.
Preston fans will likely be racing out to land Barkhuizen’s new Rulebreakers card, which currently sells for around 16,250 points on the Ultimate Team market.
