Preston are attracting some interest in terms of a takeover with potential investors discussing a move for North End in the future.
That’s according to a report from The Athletic, who claim that people around the football market are discussing Preston as a possible opportunity.
It’s added that those discussing North End are doing so with ‘great respect’ due to the club’s current situation.
Long-time owner Trevor Hemmings sadly passed away last month.
Son Craig was already chairman and will now help guide the club through this tricky period.
It’s unlikely that the Hemmings family would sell the club so quickly after Trevor’s passing.
Yet Craig did suggest that the Hemmings family are ‘custodians’ at North End and want to leave the club in a better state than when it was acquired.

That means Preston could be available in the future, but don’t expect anything imminent.
Unless a ridiculous offer came in, the Hemmings family would be wise to keep hold of the club and keep moving forward as Trevor would have wanted.
That Preston are being talked about is something interesting though, as many have wondered just who would want to buy North End.
It seems there are people out there who like the look at Preston, and it’s something to keep an eye on in the long-term.
