Former Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill will be sent back to Norwich City in January as his West Bromwich Albion spell goes from bad to worse.
That’s according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon (05/12, p59), who claims that Hugill will head back to Norwich in the upcoming transfer window.
Hugill was sent on loan to West Brom over the summer after Norwich won promotion back to the Premier League.
A proven Championship striker, many thought Hugill would thrive in Valerian Ismael’s style. Just look at what another mobile battering ram did under him last season in Daryl Dike.
It hasn’t happened for Hugill though.
The 29-year-old has only managed five starts this season and 12 substitute appearances, bagging only one goal.
Hugill did come on as a substitute during Saturday’s 2-1 win at Coventry, but the Baggies want a new forward.

That means Hugill looks set to head back to Carrow Road next month – and how Preston fans would love him back.
You can just imagine the chaos a partnership of Emil Riis and Hugill could cause in attack together.
Preston would surely jump at the chance to bring Hugill back, and if there is a possibility to do that deal in January, North End can’t let it go.
