According to The Scotsman, Preston winger Josh Ginnelly could be heading to Scotland with Heart of Midlothian.
It’s claimed that Hearts want to add pace to their side this summer, with Robbie Neilson looking to engineer an immediate return to the Scottish Premiership.
Ginnelly is one player they want to provide that speed, and the Edinburgh club have allegedly wanted Ginnelly for some time.

The report notes that Ginnelly has just one year left on his contract at Deepdale, but Preston may only let him leave on loan.
That would be a surprise, as Ginnelly would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with Hearts come January, meaning landing any fee now should be appealing.

The 23-year-old joined Preston from Walsall in January 2019, but has only made nine appearances for North End.

He joined Bristol Rovers on loan in January, and looks unlikely to play any sort of role at Deepdale having failed to appear in pre-season games.
Getting Ginnelly off the books to help Alex Neil bring in new recruits could be ideal, and heading to Tynecastle for regular first-team football should appeal to the wide man.
