Only just over an hour ago, we covered reports that Jayden Stockley was set to leave Preston for a move to Portsmouth.
Pompey were leading the race for Stockley, and a deal for the Poole-born striker to head back to the South Coast seemed close.
Portsmouth have been leading the race in recent weeks, and Football Insider were sure that Stockley would be heading to Fratton Park.

However, Hampshire Live now claim there has been a change of heart, and Stockley is snubbing Portsmouth in favour of Charlton Athletic.
Portsmouth agreed a deal and were seemingly moving closer to a deal, but Stockley is now expected to head back to South London.
Preston sent Stockley on loan to Charlton in January, and he hit eight league goals for the Addicks in a fine spell at The Valley.

Stockley has seemingly had a late change of heart and despite his ties to the South Coast, wants to back to Charlton for good.
Preston’s won’t particularly mind – they just need to get Stockley off the books and focus on players who are in the plans, with Stockley’s time up.
