Report offers exciting update on Daniel Iversen's Preston future

Daniel Iversen wasn’t all that well-known to Preston fans when he joined on loan in January. Now, he’s quickly become the dream summer signing.

The Dane joined on loan from Leicester City in January following Declan Rudd’s season-ending injury, and has become a firm fan favourite over the last three months.

Iversen has been outstanding in the North End goal, and fans are now desperate to see him come back next season, whether that’s on loan or permanently.

Fears arose when The Sun reported earlier this month that other clubs now want to sign Iversen, and Lancs Live have now offered an encouraging update.

They claim that Iversen is enjoying life at Preston so much that this is the happiest he has ever been in football, loving every minute with the club.

That comes despite Alex Neil’s departure as manager and North End having to scrap their way towards safety, and Iversen is thought to love Deepdale – even if he hasn’t played in front of fans yet.

The training ground, the camaraderie at Preston and the presence of his former Rotherham coach Mike Pollitt are all thought to be big factors in Iversen’s happiness.

Preston are claimed to have explored possible options to get Iversen back this summer, though Rudd will be back from injury at the end of the season.

If Preston have real hopes of promotion, then having two quality goalkeepers like Iversen and Rudd battling it out would be great.

Money is a factor here though, and with so many areas needing attention this summer, it’s unclear whether Preston can bring Iversen back and complete the other business they want to do this summer.
