Preston North End are interested in signing Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet but face a battle with many Championship clubs.
That is according to a new report from The Scottish Daily Mail (18/04, p73) as they claim Nisbet is attracting major interest.
It’s stated that PNE have been scouting Nisbet ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, so have local rivals Blackburn Rovers as well Middlesbrough and Sheffield United, with Wigan Athletic big fans too.
Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Nisbet scored the winner for Hibernian in their 1-0 derby day win over Hearts on Saturday.
That’s now 10 goals in just 13 league games for Nisbet this season having made a return from a knee injury in December.

The 26-year-old has been a bargain signing for Hibernian having arrived for just £250,000 from Dunfermline Athletic in 2020.
NIsbet has been a man in demand of late and actually saw a January move away collapse.
Millwall struck a deal worth up to £2.3million and Nisbet appeared to be heading for London.
Nisbet pulled a U-turn though, deciding to stay with Hibs rather than commit to Millwall.

We know what you’re thinking; £2.3million sounds way beyond what PNE will be spending this summer.
We would probably agree but Nisbet will be inside the final year of his contract at the end of the season.
That may just bring the transfer fee down a little but would still require PNE to make a major investment.
Nisbet would help one of the big problem areas in the PNE team with Ryan Lowe facing striking issue this summer.
Ched Evans’ future is still up in the air after a serious injury, Emil Riis is out for a while yet whilst loanees Liam Delap, Troy Parrott and Tom Cannon will all return to their parent clubs.
PNE may well need to invest in a striker this summer and Nisbet is allegedly one name on the radar.
