Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe has confirmed that Calvin Ramsay’s injury set back will keep him out for a couple of months.
Right wing back has been something of a talking point for North End fans since Ryan Lowe’s arrival in 2021.
Lowe loves to play with wing backs but PNE didn’t really have a natural option outside of Matthew Olosunde, who wasn’t fancied under Lowe.
Brad Potts has ended up emerging as a wing back and has been going from strength to strength there of late.
Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Lowe did though want another option there and struck an exciting deal for Liverpool talent Calvin Ramsay.
Calvin Ramsay arrived with real excitement
Ramsay emerged through the ranks with hometown club Aberdeen, producing very exciting attacking displays.

Liverpool pounced in the summer of 2022, signing Ramsey for £4million rising to £6.5million.
The Reds obviously viewed Ramsay as a long-term addition, believing that he could eventually challenge Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Sadly, Ramsay suffered real injury problems last season as back and knee problems curtailed his development at Anfield.
The hope was that regular Championship action would help Ramsay accelerate again but his time at PNE has also been hit by injuries.

Ryan Lowe confirms Ramsay setback
Ramsay arrived injured and had to build up his fitness in pre-season, featuring as a substitute against Aberdeen and Stockport County.
The Scot suffered a setback in August though with PNE confirming an injury which would rule him out for six to eight weeks.
We’re just about four weeks on from that now and it turns out Ramsay will be out for longer than expected.
Lowe has today confirmed that Ramsay will actually be out for ‘another couple of months’, taking us towards November and December.
Lowe added that Ramsay is actually back with Liverpool and rehabbing his injury, but will be with PNE when he is ready.
This is a blow for PNE fans, who have been excited to see Ramsay in action at right wing back, and everyone will just have to hope that Potts can avoid injury.
