Tom Cannon prediction comes true as Leicester ace downs PNE

Tom Cannon predicted that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall would score twice for Leicester City against Preston North End on Wednesday night.

PNE headed to the King Power Stadium on Wednesday evening with few backing Ryan Lowe’s men for a victory.

North End were solid and looked dangerous when breaking forward before Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall opened the scoring on the hour mark.

Kelechi Iheanacho added a second before Dewsbury-Hall made it 3-0, handing Leicester a comfortable victory.

Leicester will dominate against most teams this season, so there is no real shame in PNE’s defeat, but playing so well for an hour and then falling away was frustrating.

Tom Cannon prediction comes true

North End didn’t have to go up against Tom Cannon on Wednesday night.

The former PNE loanee joined Leicester on transfer deadline day, completing a permanent move to Enzo Maresca’s side.

Cannon had become a fan favourite on loan at PNE and was widely expected to return to Deepdale before Leicester pounced.

PNE fans would have feared facing Cannon but the striker is currently sidelined with a back injury and is yet to make his Leicester debut.

That Leicester can spend millions on Cannon and not even be massively impacted by his immediate injury just goes to show the difference between the Foxes and North End.

Cannon did though make a prediction before the game, at least according to Foxes teammate Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall has taken to Instagram to suggest that Cannon told him before the game that he would score twice against North End.

That came true with Dewsbury-Hall proving to be the difference-maker with his second-half brace consigning North End to a second defeat in a few days.
