Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has indicated that goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski could end up playing against Preston North End after all.
Kaminski was taken off injured against Stoke City last weekend.
It looked like the Blackburn stopper would miss Preston’s visit to Ewood Park, with Aynsley Pears lined up to replace him.
Mowbray branded Kaminski’s injury a ‘huge situation’, with Rovers facing up to a massive blow.
However, Mowbray has offered an update day and it sounds like Kaminski could face Preston after all.
Mowbray has suggested that Kaminski is ‘touch and go’ for the Preston game.
Rovers will give Kaminski the chance to train on Friday ahead of starting against Preston.
This would be a massive boost for Rovers with Kaminski one of their key players.
Kaminski being out would have been a slight boost for North End, who have to show up on Saturday.
A second derby defeat before Christmas would be a nightmare for Preston, and Kaminski will be hoping to make that idea become a reality this weekend.
