Preston snapped a poor run of form by coming up with a big 2-1 victory against rivals Blackburn Rovers on Friday night.
North End had won just one of their previous six Championship games, but got back to top form when it mattered most.
Greg Cunningham marked his first start since returning to the club with a superb goal, smashing a left-footed drive into the bottom corner from a pinpoint Alan Browne pass.

Liam Lindsay added a second with a near-post header from Ryan Ledson’s corner, and whilst Adam Armstrong pulled one back for Rovers with a contentious penalty, North End stood firm to win 2-1.
Alex Neil will have been absolutely delighted that two of his January signings came up with the goals, and they have now been recognised for their contributions.
MORE PRESTON STORIES
The Championship Team of the Week has been released today, and both Cunningham and Lindsay are both included at left-wing back and centre back respectively.
Preston’s new look defence will to through some ups and downs as they attempt to gel together, but seeing two defenders in the Team of the Week is a major compliment.
Let’s hope the duo can continue to shine, and possibly earn stays beyond the end of the season.
