Youl Mawene's son Theo makes Preston Under-19 debut

Preston North End’s Under-19’s beat Morecambe in the Youth Alliance League on Saturday – and Theo Mawene made an appearance.

Jacob Holland-Wilkinson bagged a brace with Lewis Leigh and Teddy Mfuni also finding the net in a comfortable win.

The big talking point from Saturday’s win was the introduction of Theo Mawene from the bench.

We have seen Noah Mawene show huge potential coming through the Preston ranks, with his name having great value at Deepdale.

Noah’s father is Youl Mawene, the former Preston defender who was something of a hero at North End.

Much has been made of Noah’s potential, but brother Theo also appears to be one for the future too, with Noah congratulating him on Twitter.

Theo is only in the Under-15’s, but making his Under-19 debut against Morecambe is a step in the right direction.

Maybe we will see him agree to a professional deal down the line, just like Noah has this season.

That’s a long way off yet, but we can dream right?

Having one Mawene in the Preston first team would be amazing, but to have another? That would be unbelievable for many North End fans, especially those who saw Youl at his peak.
