Preston North End have identified Northampton Town ace Ali Koiki as a potential signing to give Ryan Lowe another left wing back.
Football Insider claim that Koiki is a man in demand with three teams fighting for his signature this month.
Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland are also believed to be interested in Koiki, with Preston the third team in the mix.
Koiki is out of contract this summer, and whilst Northampton want to keep him, they are bracing for offers this month.
Koiki joined Northampton last summer after leaving Bristol Rovers and has recorded tow assists this season.
The 22-year-old may hail from London, but he’s no stranger to Lancashire having previously been with our bitter rivals Burnley.
Koiki managed 10 goals in the 2019-20 season for Burnley’s Under-23’s, but chose to leave in search of first-team football.
Now thriving at Northampton, Koiki looks set for a big future and could make the step up from League Two this month.

Koiki has been described as ‘outstanding’ and ‘so explosive’ down the left flank for Northampton, impressing going forward under Jon Brady.
Ryan Lowe has admitted he would like a speedy option at left wing back to compete with Josh Earl, and Koiki could fit the bill.
Cheap, young and attack-minded, Koiki ticks many boxes – but League Two to the Championship is a big step up.
Add in rival interest from Sunderland and Wednesday, and this chase won’t be an easy one for North End.
