Preston are on the verge of signing Alvaro Fernandez on loan from Manchester United with a deal now agreed.
North End made one Premier League loan signing on Monday, securing Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott on loan for the season.
Ryan Lowe made it abundantly clear that he wanted four signings; two strikers, a right wing back and a left wing back.
One of the strikers arrived in Parrott and it now seems that a left wing back is set to arrive at Deepdale too.

Fernandez was on the pitch speaking to Lowe and Peter Ridsdale before the game and then watched the 2-1 defeat from the stands.

Fernandez visited Deepdale again on Monday as North End held an open training session, leaving fans believing that a deal was close.
Preston couldn’t quite get the deal done on Monday but it seems that we aren’t far away from confirmation of Fernandez’s arrival.
Manchester Evening News reporter Rich Fay has taken to Twitter this morning to report that Untied have now agreed to send Fernandez to Preston.

Fay suggested that the deal should be formally announced later today with everything now in place for the move to go through.
Fernandez, 19, will now come in and compete with Robbie Brady at left wing back – ironically, a former Manchester United talent himself.
That gives North End two quality options in that area with Brady’s experience being complemented by an exciting young prospect in Fernandez.
Tall and rangy at 6ft 1in tall, Fernandez is exciting going forward and has notched four goals and nine assists in 42 Premier League 2 outings.
Formerly of Real Madrid, Fernandez is considered to have a huge future at Old Trafford and this loan move to Preston will now be a key step in his development.
