Preston are chasing a loan deal for Manchester City striker Liam Delap according to claims from Lancs Live.
It’s stated that North End have Delap on their radar for a potential loan move, but are having to be patient in the race for striking reinforcements.
Many clubs want to look at their young strikers whilst more senior players are on their breaks from international commitments.

In Delap’s case, he will be City’s main striker for now; Sergio Aguero has gone and Gabriel Jesus played at Copa America with Brazil.
We understand Delap has been on the radar for a few months now, but he’s far from the only young striker on the wish list.
The 18-year-old smashed 24 goals and five assists in 20 Premier League 2 games last season whilst also making three first-team appearances for City.

A big and physical striker, Delap has garnered praise from Pep Guardiola in the past, with the Spaniard raving about Delap’s finishing ability last season.
City send Lukas Nmecha to Preston in 2018, and a deal for Delap would be very similar.
Most Championship clubs would love to sign Delap, who faces Preston in a pre-season friendly next week, and North End will somehow hope to win the race.
