The transfer rumours keep coming in… despite Preston not yet having a permanent manager in place.
Alex Neil’s departure last month hasn’t slowed down the rumour mill, and North End continue to be linked with new signings.
James Collins, Otis Khan and Stephen Humphrys have been linked over the last week or so, and there is now yet another name to be added to the list.

Football Insider claim that Preston want to sign Ipswich Town winger Gwion Edwards, but are having to compete with Sunderland for his services.
Edwards is out of contract at Ipswich this summer and looks set to leave for nothing, with no talks being held over a new contract at Portman Road.
Adding a winger does make sense for Preston. Billy Bodin’s contract ends this summer and Anthony Gordon will be heading back to Everton at the end of his loan spell.

However, Edwards would be a hugely underwhelming addition for Preston. He is now 28, and hasn’t exactly starred for Ipswich this season with five goals and four assists in 28 League One games.
The Welshman has been injury-prone over the course of his career too, so outside of being available for free, we can’t see many selling points here.
It may just be agent talk; Edwards isn’t getting a new deal at Ipswich by the looks of things, and getting his name out there ahead of the summer would be sensible; alas, a move from North End would not.
