Preston’s move for defender Matthew Olosunde continues, with the right back allegedly deciding over a move to Deepdale.

The Lancashire Evening Post claim that Olosunde has visited North End’s Euxton training base ahead of a potential move.

Terms have been offered to Olosunde, and Preston are merely waiting to hear whether he will accept and become Preston’s fourth summer signing.

North End allegedly have two other right back targets in mind, with the idea of going for them if Olosunde doesn’t agree to join.

That may just be a tactic to force through the move, as whilst we believe Olosunde is keen to join, there are always agents and intermediaries that can hold a deal up.

Olosunde, 23, has left Rotherham United having rejected a new contract there, and could make an instant return to the Championship following the Millers’ relegation.

The American seems to be a good fit as a wing back in the 3-4-1-2 system Preston played towards the end of last season, and could finally solve North End’s right back problems.

North End must now wait for an answer from Olosunde and co as they look to add the former Manchester United talent to Liam Lindsay, Sepp van den Berg and Izzy Brown.
