According to Football Insider, Preston defender Josh Earl is heading to Burton Albion on loan for the rest of the season.
We understand that Swindon Town and Shrewsbury Town had both shown an interest in Earl, but it’s Burton who will be signing him.
Greg Cunningham’s return from Cardiff City pointed towards Earl being loaned out again, especially with Andrew Hughes only out with a knock to his shoulder.

Burton appear to have won the race for Earl, who will now join a relegation battle at the Pirelli Stadium.

Earl will seemingly look to aid the Brewers in their fight agains the drop, and this is now a third League One loan spell for the 22-year-old.
