Tottenham Hotspur’s Troy Parrott is attracting interest from across Europe despite a difficult season on loan at Preston North End.

PNE pounced to sign Parrott on loan from Tottenham in August of last year.

The Irishman had turned around a loan spell at Milton Keynes Dons having initially struggled in League One.

Parrott kicked on in the second half of the season though and PNE landed him for the 2022-23 campaign.

The early signs were promising as Parrott looked dangerous but didn’t quite have that killer instinct in front of goal.

Parrott finally scored his first league goal in October but injured himself in the process, ruling him out for three months.

Parrott scored just twice in 19 games after his return and whilst his partnership with Tom Cannon showed promise, North End fans didn’t seem entirely convinced.

There haven’t really been any rumours surrounding a PNE return for Parrott and it seems that he may now head to Europe instead.

Football Insider now report that Parrott is wanted by a number of clubs with Tottenham happy to send him out on loan again.

It’s stated that two Eredivisie clubs as well as a Bundesliga side and a team in La Liga are now chasing Parrott’s signature.

The teams in question are not named but Parrott allegedly has a number of suitors.

Parrott is allegedly ready for the next step in his development and that may well be a move abroad.

The striker has been out on loan four times now, joining an English team on each occasions having had spells with Millwall, Ipswich Town, MK Dons and PNE.

Parrott may well feel that the next step is to try his hand in Europe, no doubt looking for more goals wherever he ends up next.
