According to Turkish newspaper Karadeniz Gazetesi, Trabzonspor are in talks with Preston North End to sign Alan Browne.
It’s claimed that Trabzonspor want to bolster their central midfield options, and Browne has become a top target for the Turkish side.
A fee of around €3.5million (£3.2million) is suggested in the report, and talks are underway between the two clubs.

This seems to have come from absolutely nowhere, and it’s worth noting there that the Turkish press isn’t exactly the most reliable.
Until a source closer to home backs up these reports, we’re not going to start saying our goodbyes to Browne, but it is an interesting rumour.
One factor to note is that Trabzonspor have an English boss in Eddie Newton, and they have recruited two players from English football this summer in Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker and Stoke City striker Benik Afobe.

Newton may have come across Browne whilst watching English football, and having finished second in the Super Lig table, Trabzonspor offer a real threat to Preston’s hopes of keeping Browne.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and a £3.2million offer could be somewhat tempting, even if Preston should certainly ask for more given Browne’s importance to Alex Neil.
