Preston North End will be facing Michael Obafemi this weekend after Burnley sent the striker on loan to Millwall ahead of Saturday’s clash.
PNE are on the road again this weekend having lost 2-1 away at Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.
North End suffered a late defeat at Elland Road and must now look to get back on track in South London this weekend.
Millwall have pulled eight points clear of the relegation zone having recently won three games in a row, although that run came to a halt with a 3-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough over the weekend.
PNE are now looking to give the Lions another defeat, but will now have to face a Burnley loanee with a deal confirmed ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Millwall snap up Burnley striker Michael Obafemi ahead of PNE clash
Millwall have announced the signature of Burnley striker Michael Obafemi, taking him on loan for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old has only managed two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, playing just 19 minutes.
Obafemi needs playing time and has now joined up with Millwall in a deal which will leave PNE fans cursing rivals Burnley.

Sure, Obafemi might be a little rusty after his lack of action this season, but he still a proven Championship striker who can make a big impact this weekend.
The Irishman hit 12 goals for Swansea City in the 2021-22 season and tempted Burnley into taking him on loan before turning the move permanent for £3.5million last summer.
Obafemi certainly has talent and PNE certainly know that having previously targeted a deal to bring him to Deepdale.
Hampshire Live reported in 2021 that North End wanted to sign Obafemi from Southampton but missed out to Swansea.
Ryan Lowe and co will now have to face Obafemi and attempt to keep him quiet with a Millwall debut – either as a starter or as a substitute – on the horizon this weekend.
