Jayden Stockley seems to have made a positive start at Charlton Athletic, and that continued on Tuesday night.
Preston sent the target man on loan to the Addicks as he searched for consistent playing time, which just wasn’t coming at Deepdale.
We covered Charlton fans praising Stockley last month, and he bagged his first goal for the club in the 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth.

Stockley got his head on a corner to find the net against his former club, but he couldn’t prevent Charlton from suffering defeat.
This is what the 27-year-old is good at; getting on the end of crosses and using his aerial ability, something that Preston didn’t really make the most of in his time at Preston.

We believe Charlton can turn the move permanent if they so wish this summer, so it’s unclear whether he will ever play for Preston again.
Still, the striker is earning huge praise at The Valley, with boss Lee Bowyer telling London News Online that he thinks Stockley is a ‘nightmare’ for defenders and a ‘constant threat’.

Bowyer has praised Stockley as ‘very good’, pointing towards him being keen on keeping the striker long-term.
“If there is any positive to take from tonight, it’s Jayden’s performance,” said Bowyer. “Balls that went up to him. Even balls that he shouldn’t even hold onto and keep, he keeps. He’s just a constant threat. Every time there’s a ball going into the box, you’re thinking, where is he? He must be a nightmare for defenders.”
“Our midfielders getting around him, when he can’t score himself he’s always looking to tee up someone else. Four or five occasions, we had shots that came from his lay-offs and their defenders got good blocks on them. I thought Jayden was very good tonight,” he added.
