Sepp van den Berg has impressed many with his combative displays in the Championship this season.
Preston North End fans are already dreading the inevitable day when he has to return to Liverpool.
Playing as a right wing-back for The Lilywhites, the 19 year-old has defied his age to become an instrumental part of Frankie McAvoy’s team.
\His endless energy allows him to get up and down the pitch for the full 90 minutes.
As well as performing his key defensive duties, the attacking side of his game is improving too with two goals to his name in all competitions this season.
There is one statistic however that makes him stand out from the rest, indeed no one in the Championship can better it.
Apparently van den Berg has stopped 10 crosses from entering his own penalty area this season. A key aspect of his game is keeping the left wingers quiet and he seems to be doing that.
Sepp is currently on international duty with the Dutch Under 21’s as he looks to gain more experience. There are some very talented players in that squad with him including Myron Boadu and Joshua Zirkzee.
The defender is currently waiting to see whether he will be able to play against his parent club in the Carabao Cup fourth round which takes place on the 27th October.
