Preston are reportedly chasing the signature of Lincoln City winger Anthony Scully ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
North End’s attack hasn’t really clicked this season and few would be surprised if a new face is added in January.
Football League World now claim that Preston are in the race to sign Scully after a fine start to the season.
North End aren’t alone though with Barnsley, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall also allegedly interested.
Scully, formerly of West Ham United, hit 17 goals in all competitions last season. This term, Scully has seven goals and three assists in 14 games.
A left winger or striker, Scully can provide versatility to the Preston attack amid questions marks over the futures of Scott Sinclair and Josh Murphy.
Scully is currently playing under a former Preston player, with Michael Appleton currently in charge at Lincoln City.

Appleton’s opinion may still carry some weight among Preston fans, and he has praised Scully this season.
Speaking to Lincolnshire Live, Appleton admitted that Scully has been ‘great’ this season.
Appleton added that he thinks Scully has great technique and doesn’t need to burst the net every time he has a shot, but senior football is really helping his development.
Preston may keep tabs on that development moving forward, with Scully potentially in line to emulate his boss by joining North End.
