Preston playmaker Izzy Brown has suffered a cruel blow this week, but he has the support of a Chelsea legend in Didier Drogba.
Brown left the Blues on a free transfer this summer, and was finally looking for a settled home after a string of loan moves away from Stamford Bridge.
Preston obliged, handing Brown a one-year deal with the option of a second year.

Brown made his debut against Celtic last weekend, but then suffered a cruel blow in training, rupturing his Achilles.
The 24-year-old will now miss around six months, a nightmare for Brown, who has come back from a number of injuries in the past.
It may also feel that Brown is now in an uphill battle to win that second contract, so it’s been great to see a number of players offer messages of support to the midfielder.

Now, Brown has received a message from a true Chelsea legend, with Didier Drogba taking to Twitter to wish Brown a speedy recovery.
The Ivorian is a Blues hero and one of the real titans of the game in recent memory, both on and off the pitch – and he could have been a Preston player once upon a time!
Brown will know Drogba from his time at Chelsea, and the former striker has taken the time to send the North End man a heartfelt message as his road to recovery begins.
