Liverpool wonderkid Stefan Bajcetic now key to Klopp’s plans as Preston North can forget Lowe’s dream loan move

Preston North End can forget about any slim chance of taking Stefan Bajcetic on loan as the Liverpool midfielder continues to shine.

Ryan Lowe was talking on BBC Radio Five Live last month and the PNE boss had some great words for Liverpool talent Bajcetic.

Lowe called Bajcetic fantastic and joked that he would like to take the youngster on loan for next season – even if he knew that was probably unlikely.

PNE were able to land Sepp van den Berg on loan from Liverpool in 2021 and have been linked with Conor Bradley and Bobby Clark in more recent times.

Liverpool loans may not be a huge surprise under a boyhood Red in Lowe, but any lingering hope of a deal for Bajcetic can be pretty much forgotten.

The Telegraph reported last week that, even if Liverpool secure a big-money deal for Jude Bellingham this summer, Bajcetic will be at the heart of Jurgen Klopp’s plans moving forward.

Bajcetic has impressed so much for Liverpool that he will now play a vital role moving forward no matter who Liverpool sign.

The Reds will have no interest in loaning out Bajcetic and who can blame them?

Bajcetic, 18, has given new life to Liverpool’s midfield and has been crucial to the turnaround in their Premier League form of late.

The former Celta Vigo teenager has been so good that Spanish newspaper AS report that Bajcetic is in line for a potential Spain call-up in the near future.

That may well be a ploy to make sure that Bajcetic doesn’t end up playing for Serbia, the country of his father’s birth.

Still, Bajcetic is making waves in the Premier League and certainly won’t be coming on loan to Deepdale any time soon having convinced Klopp so quickly.

We can admire Lowe’s eye for talent when it comes to Bajcetic, but any dreams of a switch to PNE can be forgotten.
