Preston North End teenager Kian Best is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League side Fulham ahead of the January transfer window.
North End fans would love to see more academy players emerge into the first team.
Paul McKenna, Andy Lonergan and Ben Davies stick out as those to make the grade at Deepdale and even have success elsewhere.
Others have arrived and fizzled out at PNE, such as Adam Barton and Danny Mayor.
Tyrhys Dolan was inexplicably released before shining for Blackburn Rovers and James Weir was plucked by Manchester United at the age of just 13.
PNE talent Kian Best now wanted by Fulham
There is reason to be excited about PNE’s current crop of young players.
From Argentinian talent Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile to Noah Mawene, the son of former PNE defender Youl Mawene, PNE appear to have some promising talents.
Kian Best is the leading light at the moment though, having emerged as a first-team player this season.
The 18-year-old has played as left wing back, left-sided centre back and left back this season, showing his versatility in the Championship.
Best has impressed with his deliveries into the box, even showing off his wand of a left foot on international duty with the England Under-21’s last month.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon now reports that Premier League side Fulham are interested in Best.

It’s stated that Fulham scout Brian Talbot has been to Deepdale to scout Best in action ahead of a potential future move.
We would be surprised to see Best move on in January but you just never know how quickly Premier League clubs will make their move.
PNE experienced that over the summer as Brighton and Hove Albion pounced to lure Jacob Slater away from Deepdale.
Slater looked like an exciting talent but few expected a move so quickly, only for the Seagulls to strike a deal.
Maybe Fulham will push for a similar move in January, but we would like to see Best continue his development in the Championship having shown encouraging signs this term.
